Caldwell wrenched- himself from the spell of the movies, lodged the men in jail, and Mon day they were arraigned on a charge of disturbing the peace and fined $17.60 each. One of the men was tall and ungainly, and the mun who inflicted pun ishment on him for his part in tho disturbance certainly did o good job of it. His face was marked, and cut until it resem bled n red ink issue of a Chinese newspaper.
