The entire progress of Mr. Lincoln from home in Springfield, I1L, towards Washington, has been one continued ova tion, and if ever a President elect had rea son to be proud of the reception which he met with at all points of his journey to the nations, capital, Mr. Lincoln certainly has. In these manifestations of respect and coeddence, Ohio has been no whit bo hind acj of her sister States. At Cincin nati. Columbus end Cleveland, he was re ceived with display of military, processions, speeches of orators and the louder voices of cannon. At Columbus, the Governor, State officer?, and the members of both Jlouses of the Legislature and the citizens, gave him such a reception as w$.s credita ble alike to him and to them.
