PANHANDLE, Oct. U.- -The new Santa Fe railroad from White Deer to Skellytoli in the Carson county oil field was completed and turned over to the railway com- pany Saturday for operation. The first regular train, a mixed train, pulled into Skellytown Saturday, day. The new line was started and completed to the temporary termin- us at Skellytown ill approximately five months. It taps a large un- developed oil pool, the field now having about 150 wells scattered over sections of proven oil lands. There is also much farming and ranching along the line. The railway company has made extensive improvements at Skelly- town in anticipation of develop- ments there. A depot costing 000 and 361 l'eet long has been created.
