Cairns Quartz Crushing Company. A meeting of the directors was held at the company's office on"Fridiy,the 30th Jami iry. Present :-îîesars. Hook (chairman). Doug Las, M'Cooinl>e, Smith, and Soatherdcn. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence, consisting of a letter from Messrs. Sutton and Co., of Brisliane, was received. A meeting of the shareholders then took place, «-hen the directors' half-yearly ropoit was read. The report stated it waa ex- pected the eontiactois for the wheel and mill would probably eimplete the work during about the end of February ne\t, in time for crushing.
