SDistrict News. - POUND CREEK. Arbor Day at the State School was carried out on Friday last, July 3rd. Of late years the teacheirand pupils only, have had it all their own way, but in this ihitatice parents and friends alike came in good numbers to assist in iaking this day a happy, bright and enjoyable one. The first part of the day was taken up in plant ing .various kinds of trees, inter mingled with games, etc., by the; yoinger folks, who entered right :'heartily with them, led by .their schoolmistress (Miss Roberts).
