Put in a baking dish layers of cold , tender cooked meat sliced or diced with gravy or sauce , alternating with rice , macaroni , stuffing of the meat or oysters , cover with buttered cracker crumbs , bake twenty minutes . Suitable Combinations . For Veal . —Stuffing , rice tomato sauce . For Beef . —Onions , potatoes , celery , brown sauce . For Lamb . —Diced raw potatoes , turnips , tomato sauce . For Duck or Turkey . —Peas , tomatoes , bread , points , white sauce , stuffing , and gibblet gravy .
