RAISING . LIVESTOCK The work of eradicating the cattle tick is progressing slowly , but a « ood many counties have been added to the quarantine area in Texas this year . Wool is bringing a better price than it did because old stocks of staple wools are not plentiful . The market seems quite healthy and-the demand comes directly from the mills . Why is it so many farmers consider it unnecessary to salt hogs . They carry salt to cattle and sheep , but seem to think that hogs can pet along without . If you don t believe hogs like salt , go out amongst them and scatter a little on the ground-but be careful not to let them get too much .
