A few yews tinoe the process of •eodiog down lind in this State was attended with good deal of difficulty. It wee almost impossible to get what is called a good set. As the soil becomes oalti?ated this difficulty has in a mass, uro passed away, and now the firmer has little trouble in this imporant branch of agriculture Probably the springtime is best to sow the seed of the tame grasses Timothy and clover, and in a few in-saw stances, blue grass seemed to be pret tj generally cultivated. In the older tattled parti of the Stato we learn that a good deal of land has been seed* ad down this spring. This system of Banning is quite a necessity. Land requires rest. The constant use of the plow, followed by crops of grain or toots, will wear oat any land. We don't care how rich it may be in its primitive State, erupt year after year will reach the bottom of the soil. A few yean ot rest baa a wonderfully re cuperative effect. The land will bear grass each year, and at the tame time, it will...
