INDIAN MAIL SERVICE. [Newspaper Article] — The Picton Post — 4 December 1907

INDIAN WAIL SERVICE. India paps the whole cost of her home mail service; Australia, wiser In her generation^ or more -able to fight for her' rights, makes the Mother Country share Id the cost of her home mail. The other Colonies may- also obtain some sort of concession. If this Is so, why should not India receive one too? India's Importance to Entdnnd Is creater than that of any of the Coloules.— 'MaU,' Madras. . .

In these days of boaiy-made and quickly worn but furniture one Is often avail able. 'Salt moistened with vinegar will re move burnt marks from enamelled saucepans and dishes; but don't. forget that they should be soaked in cold soda water for a tew hours first to loosen the stains. . . In 'a diaper :.iriid; hy Professor; Poster at a recent meeting of the Dairymen's Association at Michigan, he said:— Testing cream is generally understood to mean finding the percentag'e of fat In Ine cream by tbe use of the Babcock test. . If the results were giving perfect satis, faction there would he do call for a dis cussion of it Complaints are continu ually being made of variations In tests and of differences of from -2 to 10 per cent, in tests of cream at home and the tests of the same cream at the factory. This Is always, ot course, when the fac tory .tests are the lower. When the factory test Is the higher we never hear of. It. ' ' Borne of tbe dissatisfaction arises from mistaken Ideas regarding the ?cream separator.
