NO. 36 B3i. 1 til Observations by the Kicker A Review of the Haywood Case.-0n the Witness Stand He Tells Accusers He will Answer all Questions.--Defense Witnesses Arresed on Purjury Charges. The story that comes from Iduho has startled everybody except those who understand the methods of capitalism. It turned out just as the Kicker predicted more than a year ago'. Every unprejudiced mind ought now to be convinced that Moyer, Haywood and Petti bone are not being prosecuted be cause they are criminals, tint per secuted because they are Socialists. The direct testimony ot both sides is all in. And to the unitiated it would seem that the prosecution is also "all in.'' But not so. In all my talks with people about the case, I have not found a single man who believes Haywood guilty. And yet I am convinced he will not go free. Just what will happen I do not know.
