EL. PASO HERALD 12 Saturday April 2 1910. An U Paso factory nan yes Management THE MAGIC OF A BANK ACCOUNT THERE are so many desirable features about a bank account that it seems almost an insult to Herald readers5 intelligence to print an article on the sub- ject very much the same as though we were to remark solemnly that water is wet. But just as there are some people who do not appre- ciate how very wet water is until they fall into it so are there people who could easily maintain a bank account but who do not do so simply because they do not realize the value of it. Getting interest on your money isn't the whole idea it's only part of it and the smallest part at that. A sav- ings account sends the blood to a certain group of brain cells that create in you by their healthy action the ability to weigh the value and appreciate the power of every dol- lar that comes into your hands. In other words a savings account makes you think a little bit more about money and a little bit less...

16 Saturday April 2 1910. EL PASO HERALD e Rise in the Value of REAL ESTATE." E3SH -From Andrew Carnegie's Book "The Empire of Business." "Few Large Fortunes Can Now be Made in Any Part of the World Except from ONE CAUSE . There seems to be a sort of magic about the ownership of El Paso Real Estate. In no other city are values advancing so fast. El Paso is the Gateway toKMexico and tfie Pacific Coast. No one questions the desirability of owning El Paso Real Estate. To buy and hold is to amass wealth if you buy right. SOME REASONS WHY EL PASO REAL ESTATE ADVANCES SO RAPIDLY EDUCATIONAL ADVANTAGES. El Paso's public school system is worthy of admira- tion; the scholastic census shows 6580 children between- the ages of seven and seventeen of whom 5300 were en- rolled in the public schools during the last season not counting the number attending parochial schools of the city where more than 1000-attended. There are 156 teach- ers who with the supervisors draw a monthly payroll of 13100 t...

hort Talks important an Interesting In beginning our discussion on SPECIFIC BLOOD POISOX a brief refer- ence to its history may not be -without interest. The history of the disease dates back many centuries in a surgery written in uhe year 1250 by Theo- doric a Dominican Monk. An entire chapter is devoted to this disease and the treatment -which this author recommends is modernn enough with most physicians anyway and consists of the use of mercury. As still further evi- dence of the antiquit' of the disease may -be mentioned recent translations of ancient Chinese medical writings which snow that the disease was known in China two thousand years ago. Moses -was undoubtedly acquainted with the disease; a fact that makes it still more ancient- SPECIFIC BLOOD POISOX is by far the most treacherous loathsome complicated and far reaching in its evil consequences of any disease which afflicts mankind. "The iniquities of fche father shall be visited upon liis children even unto the third and...
