The Indians are indeed, giving us a practical illustration of the ad- vantage of Pilce's treaty: During the latter part of last week aparty of 25 Indian* visited Atascosa county, com- mitting Serious outrages. At 3 o'clock otf Friday evening they rode through the village of Pleasanton. in the vicinity of which, they killed Mr< Harrington, and wounded Mr. An- derson and Mr. E. O'Brien, citizens of the county. They, took from Mr. Childress about 125 head of horses—including several valua- ble animals. From Penaloza they took 29 head. They killed three negroes, belonging to Marcellos French, who is in the Confeder- ate army in Virginia. Mr. WalUce, as we are informed, a citi- zen of Atascosa, with 28 men, is after the savages, and at last accounts he was but eight hoars behind them.
