WINGADEE SHIRE COUNCIL The monthly meeting of the Win gadee Sh'rc Council was held oi Tuesday last. In connection with the mainten ance programme for 1930 the- usual agreement with the M.R. Board was submitted. Two items were deleted ■by the Board'from the Council's ap plication, viz. formation and: top dressing .from 7i mile on Walgett road, and similar work on Toora wcenali road from 4i mile to C mile. .The clerk reported that rate notices ■were served by post on 27th Febru ary, the only appeal to date being that of Mr. W. GOLF Season Opens The official opening of the golf season took place on last Sunday, and judging by the enthusiasm prevail ing the season should be an even gicater success than the last. Al though the club has only been form ed some twelve months, players have made great strides in the game, and the practical experience gained last season by the new players should pro vide the club with some promising material. Last season the club suc cessfully- defended the "Radiola" Cup against all comers, and as this cup will be open for competition in the near fu.ure even better golf can bo expected.
