PENSIONER FINED FOR S.P. Seventy-four years old James Frederick Odewahn, pensioner, of Taylor Street,. Parramatta, was fined £20 for S.P. betting by Mr. Brown S.M., at Parra matta Court last week. Senior Constable Weber, of Parramatta Vice Squad, said in evidence,: defendant -had been betting at a Taylor Street   boarding. house . Records of 32 bets ranging from 2/- to £1 had been found, but: no money had been seized. Defendant, he said, had told   police, he was taking the bets on commission, mainly from people in the boarding house. Pleading guilty Odewahn. said;, am just a battler and I have to live somehow.
