Determined attempt on the life of the Gear. t ST. PSTEKSBS&Q, February 17. A moat determined attompt bos been mode to blow up the Czar's Wintor Palace, with the object, .doubtless, of deeiroying the Empeior and tmporial family. From details aa yet ascertained, it appears that a mine was laid under the guard-room and below the dining-h&U. Tho mine was exploded, and thirty of thj Imperial Guard were wounded, and five killed outright. The explosion made a Jfttfre rent in the floor of the dining-hall, but most providentially the Imperial family hud not assembled, and therefore escaped injury. The perpetrators are unknown, but is is supposed to be the work of the Nihil ists. .,
