FOREST V IRISH TOWN This match was played last Saturday on the Irish Town ground in splendid weather,   on a good and fast wicket, and in the pre- sence of a large number of spectators (writes our correspondent). T.Hill winning the   toss elected to bat, the score realised by the   Foresters being 88, of which Herbert Fer- guson by really good cricket contributed 45, T. Hill 21, Chas- King 10. Connel, Mick Halloran and Ainslie bowled well, Irish Town batted consistently throughout, Ted. Halloran, a young player of 18, going in first and batting splendidly for 41 when he was unfortunately run out. Tom Atkin also was run out for 39 ; H.B. Pithouse (29) bowled   by Smedley in playing forward to a well pitched ball, which shot under the bat; and Martin Halloran (26) splendidly caught by Ollington, were the other double figure contributors to a total of 176. TOUR OF IRISH TOWN TEAM, The I.T.C.C, have now played four matches this season, scoring 151, 159 for 9   wickets, 108 and 176, for their four com- plete innings. Preparations are about com- plete for the contemplated trip to East Wellington next weak. With the exception of Ed, Halloran the best team possible will undertake the tour. The players will be Ainslie, Blake, Atkin, Carroll, Connel, Fahey, Halloran (2), House, Pithouse, Spinks, Wat- son, Wood, Mr P. J, Nicol will also prob- ably go and play if required.
