After having been connected all my life with the press for I edited a new-paper is England when I was only eighteen years old I fancy that I am competent to write on the hit-tory of journalism. First, then, as to its antiquity. it would appear that, in ancient ; Rome, there was something nearly what, in our time, is called the "rewspaper."
