A. tho percentage of Bomo of the landing teams took a slump that was surprising to Texas fans. From tho three teams holding a 1000 per cent standing now only one holds that rank. Howard Payne holds the honor of being a lender in the Association and it is likely that they will win the Association championship despite the fact that they will lose to the Cow- boys on Thanksgiving Day. Their Standing will drop to .800 and Sim- mons will riso to .500 and there will bo another page to go on history about Turkey day games. It seems thnt tho picked winner of the early season has entirely dropped out of tho race this being Austin College who is now holding a per- centage of .333. The Southwest and West Texas Teachers lost in tho games played Tuesday nnd their 1000 percentage dropped to .750 ond .600 respectively. Simmo...

CORRAL EDITION VOL. IX. SIMMONS COLLEGE! ABILENE TEXAS SATURDAY DECEMBBER 13 1924 Number 14 FOR A MESS OF POTTAGE THE LIGHT OF TRUTH . I sat late In my offico that night. Ah can I over forget that night? I was busily engaged in examining some finger prints oil a beautiful daggar the hilt of which was covered with jewels. I had. just made a dis- covery; all the fingerprints I had gathered from several of the unsolved crimes of which murder wns the worst coincided with the finger prints on the handle of the daggar which I held in my hand. This same daggar had recently ended the life 6f n young girl; the appearances were that it was another caso of suicide but the masculine finger prints on the daggar hilt gave this to be un- true. As I sat deep in contemplation the silence suddenly became unbear- able. I then became possessed with a strange feeling that something was going to happen. I was almost expecting the knock when it sounded on my door but I wns unprepared for the sight I behel...
