^9r mi v ■ The Aspermont Sta Richard H. McCarty, Editor and Publisher Aspermont, Stonewall County, Texas, Friday, Dec. 16, 1910. Vol. 13. Let's all put Our Shoulders to the Wheel and Push for Accepted Call. Rev. B. F. Whitten came in Sunday morning from Ft. Worth and occupied the pulpit at the First Baptist church morning and evening at the usual hours. After preaching services Sunday morning a conference of the church was called, at which time Rev. Whitten notified the church that he would accept the call to the pastorate of the First Baptist church of this city. As we see it, the Baptist church of Aspermont has made a wise selection in the call of Rev. Whit- ten to this charge. He is a strong gospel preacher, a man with rare intellect and splendid endow- ments, spiritual and at the same Rev. B. F. Whitten. The As- sociation has never had, in the memory of the writer, a more useful, influential and hard work- ing pastor than he. His church at Coldwater has prospered marvelously und...
