Armoy. [Newspaper Article] — Narromine News and Trangie Advocate — 21 July 1899

Armoy. (From a Correspondent.) We have had Some splendid rain here; t'ue tanks and waterholes are fall once more. The early wheat crops are locking- -.fell, but the late ones are not doing 80 as the ground is too wet . and cold ; but with a few warm days and nights to Btart the growth' they ought to come out alright. I see Mr. Gardiner, of Sounwell Park, is going in for sheep- breed ing. He has bought a good lot of breeding ewes from Messrs. Smith Bros., of Cornucopia. I hear we are about to have a siding erected near. Cornucopia, or where the Timbriebongie and Dandaloo road orosses the railway line. This will be a great boon to the residents r;ronod here, as at present there is no crossing between here aud Mungeribar. Dancing seems to have gone dead since tbe school affair, but I am told i'iat '- Rob the Cookey,' of Baohel- 2-1' Home, is thinking of getting up a plain and fancy dress ball at an early date ; the proceeds, if any, to go t - the Dubbo Hospital.
