INQUEST ON THE BODY OF WILLIAM THOMAS. An inquest was held by the coroner, H. E. Brewer, Esq., yesterday, at the resi- dence of the deceased, on the body of William Tlhomas, who was found dead on the beach, near Double Corner. on Satur day afternoon, the 4th inst. A jury having been impannelled, the following evidence was adduced:--   Charlotte Thomas being duly sworn, said :-I am widow of the deceased W. Thomas; the body in this house is that of   my husband; I last saw him alive at 10.30 or 11 am, on Saturday last; he left home to get sea-weed with his cart; he was alone; he was not subject to fits or com-   plaints of anykind ; at about one o'clock I heard of his death. He took with him about two nobblers in a ginger beer bottle; he was sober when I saw hiim last."
