Boorowa Graziers Appeal Fails Against Resumption Of Land 'Maryvale' Property For Soldier Settlement MR. JUSTICE FULLAGER IN THE HIGH COURT CHAMBERS IN SYDNEY DISMISSED AN ACTION IN WHICH CLARENCE RAYMOND SMITH, OF 'MARY- VALE,' RYE PARK, NEAR BOOROWA, CHALLENGED THE VALIDITY OF THE RESUMPTION OF HIS PRO PERTY FOR SOLDIER SETTLEMENT. His Honor held that the statement of claim filed in the suit disclosed no reasonable cause of action, and ordered that it should be struck out. He also ordered Smith to pay. the cost of the action. The Commonwealth and the State had asked the Court to strike out the statement of claim, in which Smith asked for injunctions to restrain the State from taking possession of his property, and to restrain the Commonwealth from paying money to the State to finance the acquisition of his property, and to restrain the State from receiving money from the Com monwealth to pay for the land. MARRIED WITH NUPTIAL MASS BOBBIN-CORCORAN WEDDING The pretty wedding of June Patricia, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Corcoran, of Marsden Street, Boorowa, to Maurice John, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Bobbin, of Marsden St., Boorowa, which was solemnised before Nuptial Mass took place at St. Pat- rick's Church, Boorowa, on March 28. The altar of the church was beautifully decorated for the happy occasion by the Sisters of Mercy, and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Casey, Adm. The altar boys were friends of the bridegroom. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, who subsequently gave her away, was a radiant picture in her classical bridal gown featur- ing lace over satin which had a tulle yoke and long pointed sleeves. The skirt and train were trimmed with a gathering of tulle and her lovely emboss- ed veil was held in place by tuberoses and carnations. SAILED TO NEW ZEALAND TO SPEND HONEYMOON McGRATH-O'NEILL WEDDING The marriage of Eliza- beth Mary (Betty), fourth daughter of Mrs. E. J. O'Neill and the late H. J. O'Neill, of Frogmore Estate, to Bernard John, second son of Mrs. E. McGrath and the late J. McGrath, of 'Clear-   view' Station, Boorowa, was solemnised on April 4th in St. Patrick's Church, Boor- owa, by Rev. E. Sheahan, P.P., assisted by Rev. Fr. Casey, Adm. The bride who was escorted to the altar by her eldest brother, Harry, wore a trained gown of white embossed tulle, with a finger tip cut tulle veil falling from a Juliet cap made of matching embossed tulle. She carried a trailing bouquet of choice white orchids and tuber- roses. She was attended by Mary Mc- Grath, sister of the groom, and Kath Sheahan, of Jugiong. OBITUARY Former Well-known Resident Passes MR. JAMES JOSEPH KEARINS The death occurred at his resi- dence, 12a Carrington Road, Waverley, on Tuesday last of   Mr. James Joseph Kearins, a former well-known and highly respected resident of Boorowa district. He was a member of the well-known ''Campbellfields" family, where he was born. He is survived by his sorrow- ing wife, three sons, Brian, Tony, Kevin, and two daughters, Patricia and Mary. He also leaves two brothers, Phillip and Michael, and five sisters, namely, Luce, Mary (Mrs. Cass), Elizabeth (Mrs. Brady), Annie (Mrs. Simmonds) and Anastasia (Mrs. Magney). Four brothers, John, Patrick, William and Dennis, and one sister, Katherine (Mrs. Garry), predeceased him. The funeral took place at the Waverley Catholic cemetery this morning.
