HORSES IN BATTLE [Newspaper Article] — The Grenfell Record and Lachlan District Advertiser — 15 September 1877

HORSES IN BATTLE Although )efS distressing to ape, the horses whioh had juat lost, their rHers . without boing ?hpm^Wes HisfiMod, wore formidable rfcturbers of nny rppimont which b »d to encounter them. Parliament will meet for the despatch of busi siness on Tuesday next, on which occasion the new Ministry will explain to the House the plan they intend to pursue respecting the employ ment of tho timo intervening between then and the approaching dissolution ; which if no crisis arise, and we scarcely see how ono can, will take placo in about two months. It is true there is to be an attempt at an upset on the part of Mr. Farnell, who intends to table a want of confi dence motion in the Government, and which some people are sanguine enough to say will be carried. For the credit of the Assembly we hope that such expectations will be disappointed, and that the remainder of the session will be spent in doing some real work. From Sir John Robertson's Iiusting speeches the only business likely to be pressed upon the House will be an Electoral Bill, the passing of which should be accomplished without difficulty. It has not been intimated by the Government whether the Bill will be the ono in...
