There has been a bit better tone in the share market the last daj or two, and last iiight there was a fairly brisk demand for Alabamas, Kelly's Queen Blocks and New Hidden Treasure. A rough eleaning-up of cruehings from tbe Brilliant and Victory reefs gave the follow ing results viz.:—Brilliant reef, 219 tons for 1319oz 3dwt 6gr of g Id; Victory reef, 80 tons for 326oz 9dwt 6grof gold Concen trates, estimated to contain hilly *75oz of gold from the above-mentioned crushing of Bril liant. stone, are awaiting treatment.

The True Blue P.C. has crashed 120 tons for 15l|oz; the Wo. li East Iguana, 13 tons for SOoz; Sovereign aid Post Hole, 105 tons for 140oz. Ceo yd on, July 25. -The Ophir Block, from a rough c'eaning up of 145 tons gave 825oz. About 700 tons will go through before the final cleaning up. The True Blue Q\M. At Hie half-yearly meeting of the Bris bane Stock Exchange, it tranpired that £1000 worth of Queensland Treasury Bills had been taken up, and that the investment was returning per cent, on the amount invested. Waxes has been struck in two bores at Afton Downs Station, 18 miles west *)£ Hughenden. The firtjb bore was pat down by Mr. W. C. Il o iston, ani 400,000 gallons was struck n% a depth of 1495ft. About 14 miles from the No. 1 bope, and on the same station, Mr. Houston put down another bore ani struck water at a depth of 844ft, the flow from which is reckmed to be 1,200,000 gallons daily.
