Preliminary Anti-Chinese   Meeting. LAST night about fifty persons met at Mr. John O'Brien's Imperial Hotel, for the pnrpose of deciding on the question of holding a public meeting in regard to the Chinese question. Mr. George Martyr occu- pied the chair. After some very pointed and well-timed remarks by Mr. O'Brien, whose speech was both forcible and argumentative, the follow   ing business was transacted :—   Mr.O'Brinn moved—"That in the opinion of this meeting it is desirable fo hold a public meeting in Goulburn to consider the Chinese question." This was seconded by Mr. John Byrne,   and carried unanimously.   Mr. Isaac Bushell moved—" That this meeting should form a committee to make the necessary arrangements."
