COMMERCIAL, REMARKS. [Newspaper Article] — Ovens and Murray Advertiser — 14 February 1857

COMMEIiCIAI, HEMABKS. Oun brief weekly notice of the elate of Beech* worth markets might almost hnve been stereo typed for the past three or four weeks. They have beeu nothing mere than repetition? of the same tale. Dullness of trade, over* stocked Rtoree, and Hearcity of money. W»* canuot today make much alteration. But if any change lm* occurred, it has been for the better. Stocks too are getting gradually lower, and with the steady consumption of the district, u scarcity in one or two articles may shortly be anticipated. Sugar is promiueut among these. Our prices current exhibit bnt few and im material eh.uiges, excepting in gold, which, i\< was expected, has again fallen Cd on the ounce.
