IN THE ST . LOUS MRKET A GOOD WEEK IS REORTED ON MOST LINES . Short Sapalj * at Beans—Tomatoes Lea . Plentiful — Potatoes Unsettled , Stoek Irregular—The General Situation Reviewed . St . Louis , June 21 . —The scarcity and high prices of string beans was the feature of the St . Louis produce market this week , and the- demand was so urgent that every receiver , who was so fortunate as to get a consignment of string beans was surrounded by a host of bidders for the lot . • Green peas were also firmer , and choice stock sold much higUer than last week . Tomatoes are less plentiful and . firmer , as receipts are , lighter , and there is a fair demand for choice stock . Green soft or cracked ,- however , are slow of sale at any price .
