We are glad to see it revived. In the winter of 1843-4. the Legislature of Virginia passed a law to brand upou the head and bulge of all tobacco coming from Ken tucky and Missouri, IVeitern. At the same time we think, it was required to pay a sort of duty at the warehouse, previous to inspection. This law was passed without anv considera tion, and even, as well as we recollect, without debate.
