The time of milking should be fixed as most convenient, and should not be varied any during this time, every thing around and in the barn should be kept quiet. Ao milker should be allowed to strike, kick or scold a c- When a man sits-down to mi!, be should have no other business on band, until he gets that cow milked clean. If we have cows that cannot - be handled in this way, better turn tbem off to butch er. , Much might be said npon farm build ings but I will say but little. Farm build ings should never, if it can be avoided, be so situated as to be obliged to cross the road to go from the bouse to the barn, neither should we be obliged to go through a barn-yard to get to the milking stable. But have good dry walks from the house to the stable and keep every thing neat and clean in the barn, especially in the feeding room, for cows do not like filth snrl dirt, and thev also enjoy a good bed and clean stable.
