Richmond, Aug. 15.—We hare been hourly looking for important news from the West, since Gen. Lee took command of the foroM opposing Bosencrani. Last night and this morning the tqjrn was fall of rumors that a fight had taken place. Reliable intelligence reached here this morning that a battle took place at Lees- burg. in which three hundred of the ene- my Were killed and the remainder, abont fifteen hundred, taken prisoners. All their baggage, gaos and ammunition were cap- tared. The loss on car side as reported was comparatively insignificant, but six killed and cone wounded. Etc., Etc. -v- Capt. Tarley arrived by the Eastern train on Saturday night, at 12 o'clock, bringing the following intelligence. We are also Abliged to Mr. Bhodes for late pa- pers, The first division of our troops ar- rived in New Orleans on the 1st. The fol- lowing is the news: Special Dispatches to the Daily DelU. Richmond, Aug. 30- Gen. Butler, in command of a fleet of one hundred guns and four thousand troops, ai rived off Fort Hatteras, North Carolina, on Tnesday morning, and de- manded a surrender; which was refused.
