ALEXANDRA SHIRE COUNCIL. SSALES YARD L,OMMITTEE'S REPORT. A meeting of the Saleyards committee was held on June 28. Present were Urs. Davy (President), Edwards, Almond, Brisbane and Bar ker, and Mr. L. H. Thompson. In order to reduce the cost to man. agable limits it was decided to cut down the area of the sheep yards by one-third and the cattle yards by one eighth, thereby reducing the.estimat ed costs to £9,890, and, with the credit from the sale of the old site, to £9,000. Younghusband Ltd. was represented by Mr. R. O'Brien, Victorian Produ cers by Mr. Goodale, and there were apologies from Messrs. R. and C. Coo per. The Shire President addressed the meeting. ALEXANDRA v. SEYMOUR. Bright sunshine greeted these two teams as they took the field last Sat urday. After the rain, the ground was in perfect condition. Bradley won the toss and decided to kick to the hill end, which was favored by a cross wind. From the bounce Seymour went forward, but Robinson marked and cleared. -Waite sent a short pass to Sullivan, and a point opened the scor ing for Seymour.
