Curley, Sec retary. — Gentlemen, — Permit me to acknowledge your , letter of May 8, in reply to mine of April 26th. I cannot but think that some rni -understanding . has existed, in the minds of the Delegate Board and the Lodges, arising probably from wording of the resolution, which I think implies that I was asking for pecuniary assistance. What I asked for was simply the Lodges to enable me to obtain an investi gation by a competent Court composed of practical experienced men into the subjects mentioned in my previous letter.
