HEAVY FIGHTING. .GOVERNMENT'S PRESTIGE LOST. XReuter.) LOXDON, Wednesday. Heavy fighting again flarocd up m\ Berlin on Saturday and continued all night long. It is reported that as a result of this fighting, the Spartacus itcs in all the occupied buildings in the newspaper, including \Volfi's Bureau : and the police headquarter.', surren dered' without combat, and were re leased after giving up- their weapons and munitions. This apparently was the first 'substantial success of the Government, which, although being strengthened militarily, is said to lie losing political prestige. The fate of Dr. Lieblcnccht is still not clear.' . It is reported that 1-1 err Ledcbour was captured in the 'Vor- waerts' fighting, -during which the building wa^ wrecked and 400 Sparla cusites killed. *t Since the beginning of the revolu tion it is stated that 1300 Spartacusites have been killed and a still larger number wounded. Orchard has received a cable from Wellington stating that there arc in New Zealand a large body of people known as ''stranded Aus tralians.' Many are in absolute financial distress. There are women and children, nvho.-1i.aye no resources. and arc depending on charity for food, Jn, addition there are a!so -harrowing cases of separation. Wives and chil dren are in. Australia needing medical treatment, while their husbands arc in Xew Zealand and shut off from their resources. ' The position is acute, and Mr. Orchard is requested to use his, best efforts on tlyeir behalf.
