DISTRICT NEWS. BARMAH EAST. [Newspaper Article] — Nathalia Herald and Picola, Narioka, Kotupna and Moira Advertiser — 7 July 1914

DISTRICT NEWS. (From Oar Correspondents.) BARMAH EAST. ' The Moira "boys" put up a spiriiod game against the team from the township on the 27th ult. The Barmah Fed rals were in full force, and proved too much for the locals, but both in thcjfirst quarter and the i fourth, the home team scored more than the visitors. The game was not st open as could have been wished, but much good football was displayed, <■* The premiers of last year have too many good men to specia lise, but H. Maloney Cooper, Murray and Evans are a quartette hard to beat in up-country footbill. For the home team James, Dinnan and Lubke all played good, clean, foot ball, while R. Ferrari was going as strong as ever. Of the juniors, special mention should be made of C. Hardey who gives much promise. A. Sutherland, though not as fast in his umpiring as he used to be, always kept the play well in hand.
