STABLE GOSSIP. UK. S. FIELDER'S STABLE, [Bt 'Eault Bied.'] There are few gentlemen connected with tho turf of New South Wales who are so widely known as Mr. Samuel Fielder, nor are there many who are so widely and deservedly respected. Having been con nected with racehorses from childhood, it stands to venson that ho must necessarily be a tradesman, and it goes without say ing that he is one of no mean order, as his exploits in almost every town in Now South Wales with horses that have under gone their preparations under his care can testify. Another consideration in his favour lies in the fact that he has no person connected with his establishment who does not thoroughly understand the wants of the horses. His foreman, Mr. Dan De Coursy, is one of tho shrewdest men in his calling, and witli the vast experience he possesses, knows just when and where to slip the horse. It needs no beating about the bush to prove this fnct, as witli Hie e€-m- bined efforts of Mr. Fielder and Mr. Do C...

On the . 30th of tins month tho first day's racing of- the Hawkesbury Auttmrn meeting Tvill taice place, and: will bo -'-followed up on tho following Saturday, April 1. The principal item of the first clay is the Rowley Mile, for which sixty-two have had what the han dicapper considers they are entitled to, placed opposite their names.
