A letter from Santa Cruz, dated Feb ruary 11th, gives the following horri ble details of an Apache atrocity: On the 8th instant, about 11 o'clock a, m. live citizens 01 .Mercsiciii reiurn ing with merchandise to that town, from the interior, were attacked near Cocospcraby a band of fourteen Apache Indians. In the first attack three of the citizens were killed, and one taken alive. The fifth, although badly wound ed and having botli amis broken, suc ceeded in escaping. The Indians pur sued him about J miles, when, having left his pursuers some distance behind, he met two soldiers from Santa Cruz.
