IMPORTANT TO KNOW ONESELF ' . Only by That Means Can the World Be Understood. Who have lived the most common sense lives? Well, one such was the Emperor Aurelius. A soldier, a states man, an administrator of the highest ability! And yet a man to whom the highest worth was the capacity so to see .the complicated facts of life In their true relation as to be able to ' live tranquil in any circumstances. An other person with a grand simplicity was the slave Epictetus. The one teaches us that a man can live as he roically in a palace as in a church, market place or camp; the other that a lowly estate is no bar to the pro foundest knowledge of human nature and the most illustrious manhood. A wiser word was never written than that inscribed over the portal of the Delphic oracle: "Know thyself!" For it is only by self knowledge that one can know the world and under stand the lesson it would teach man kind. Boston Post. Did you ever notice your enemies have as many friends as you? ftnrniTIA...

Dyspepsia of Women ABSOLUTELY HEEDLESS AGONY Canted by Uterine Disorder aid Cared by Lyoia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compeead A great many women suffer with a form of indigestion or dyspepsia which does not seem to yield to ordinary treat ment. While the symptoms seem to be similar to those of ordinary indiges tion, yet the medicines universally pre scribed do not seem to restore the pa tient's normal condition. Airs.MVright Mrs. Pinkham claims that there is a kind of dyspepsia that is caused by a derangement of the female organism, and which, while it causes a disturb ance similar to ordinary indigestion, cannot be relieved without a medicine which not only acts as a stomach tonic, but has peculiar uterine-tonic effects . also. As proof of this theory we call at tention to the case of Mrs. Maggie Wright, Brooklyn, N. Y., who was completely cured by Lydia E. Pink ham's Vegetable Compound after every thing else had failed. She writes : " For two years I suffered with dyspepsia which so ...
