Dannheiser was host ess at a linen .shower for Miss Mabel Lynch Monday afternoon. Decorations were pink and white. A basket filled with linen pre sents was presented^ to Miss Lynch. Elaborate refreshments were served by the hostess. Organizer Flint of the Grange will speak at the Narcisse Creek grange this afternoon. The membership of this organization on Narcisse creek is about 30. Chas. Fluegel this week reciv ed his diploma from the A. Y. Page 6 J THE LOCAL NEWS I Entertained at the Rink The largest social event of the season was given at the rink Thursday evening by the Messrs. and Mesdames Z. Lane, J. B. Reynolds, J. D. Millspaugh, P.R. Parks, F.L.Grinstead. More than 200 invitations were sent. The interior of the rink was entirely transformed by decora tions, green and red predominat ing. Long festoons of cedar boughs were swung across the room, meeting at the orchestra stand in the center. The rear of the hall was partitioned from the main room by rows of young fir trees set in blocks cut from native trees, the firs reaching to the ceiling. Colored lanterns gave a subdued light, and an arc light was placed over the stand in the center. Comfortable cloak rooms were arranged at each side of the en trance. On entering the main room the guests were met by the hosts on the right and by the hostesses on the left. The gen tlemen's favors were red carna tions, and pink and white 'ones for the ladies.
