Washington, Aug. 29.-Special Agent Oliphant Saturday made report to the geological survey upon the production of petroleum in the various states. It shows that the production of crude petroleum in Texas during the fiscal year of 1898 was 546,070 barrels, valued at $277,135. Porter, executive officer of the FloridA state board of health; on account of two deaths and several cases which have-been diagnosed as yellow. fever. The order was issued Thursday night by Dr. Porter on the report of the existence of the disease in Key Webs from Dr. Charles B. Sweeting, agent of the board at Key Westland sanitary inspector of the port.
