ELECTION DAY AT FROGMORE VOTING — C.W.A. STALL SUCCESS — TENNIS. For the first time in years over 100 ordinary voters cast their votes at Frog more. STALL SUCCESS Some tennis was played at the school court and the C.W.A. Stall held numbers of people near the booth for some time. At afternoon time there were many cars parked outside the grounds and a large crowd enjoyed Dev onshire afternoon tea cheaply provided by the C.W.A. ladies. There was a very good array of goods for sale at the stall, lams, preserves, some vege tables, clothing for the children and coat hangers, cakes and sther useful items were- nicely arranged and attracted the people, who bought willingly. Guessing the weight of a \ oung turkey ' hen competition proved popular. It was won by Mr. P. O'Malley, who accurate y judged 61 lbs. ? The stall was financially successful, clearing about £27. STATE MEMBER TO VISIT BOOROWA HandOver Equipment , At Hospital And Attend Annual Ball The Local State Member. Mr. Fred- J. Ca'Kill, M.L.A., has accepted an invitation by the Boorowa District Hospital Board to visit Boorowu in July and/ittend the Hospital Annual Ball. This advice has been receiv ed by the local Board secre tary, Mr. W. J. O'Sullivan, in a letter from Mr. Cahill. Mr. Cahill informed Mr. O'Sullivan that July 20 would the most convenient time for him to make the visit. 'I propose bring with me either Dr. LiUey. Chairman, or Mr. Digby, member of the Hospitals Committee, as there may be some matter at the hospital which needs attend ing to,' said Mr. Cahill. Mr. Cahill will also visit the hospital on Saturday and hand over valuable equipment which has been donated to the hospital.

Boorowa Golf Associates Last Friday, Associates played a Par Competition postponed from the previous Wednesday because of the Anzac Day holiday. Mrs. A. Bobbin won the event with the score of 10 up. Her round was an excellent one of 81 off the stick. On Wednesday, the first round of the Medal Competition was played, and won by Mrs. O'Don nell, with a nett 60, breaking her handicap by six strokes. Mrs. Thomas was runner-up, breaking her handicap by two strokes. Owing to the holiday next Wednesday, the Stableford event will be played the fol lowing Friday. The draw for Friday is as follows: E. NEWS AWARD FOR BEST AND FAIREST FOOTBALLER OF YEAR The 'News' Award, for which all Boorowa first and re serve grade Rugby League players will be eligible, will be presented at the end of the current season. The Award takes the form of a £5/5/- cash bonus and has been donated by the proprietor of the 'Boorowa News.' At the end of the Group Nine competition season, the player adjudged Boorowa's best and fairest player will re ceive the 'News' Award, which objective is to create and maintain interest in the code and to encourage players.
