(To the Editor of the Grenfell Record.) Sir, — Will you kindly allow us, through the columns of your journal, to contradict the statement mado by Sigmont (appearing in your issue of tho ]8th ultimo) late a patient in the Grenfell Hospital, stating that tho Matron was ' harsh' towards him,' which assertion is utturly false, and we declare it to be the most moan and ungrateful tiling he could possibly have dono. During the whole time he was an inmate of tho institution, his conduct towards the Matron was abusive and insulting. The Matron was far too forbearing and attentivo to him at all times, which was not a very easy matter. Wo declare this statement to be correct. With thanks for your courtesy, we remain, Respectfully yours. JOSEPH HARRISON R. H. GOODRIDGE C H. SCHINKEL. Grenfell Hospital, Aug. 21st.
