MILIK ZONE DAIRYMEN'S COUNCIL The Consumers' Representative on the Milk, Board (Mr. H. L. Deli ford) this week made the following statenment:- The Central Committees an'd.Bran ches" of the. Milli Zone Dairymen's Council and the' Primary Producers' Union are ve'ry much concerned about the proposal of the Milk Board to consider the extension of. the milk producihg zone to the Man ning River: and, Gloucester districts. Some'have viewed the proposal with considerable alarm whilst others have debated the question of agree ing to a limited extension to the Gloucester., district. In formation 'generally on the need for extension has not been made available to dairymen. Recognising the need for this information I have prepared the following analysis .of the Board's requirements and the effect any extension of the zone to the Manning River and Gloucester districts will liave upon dairymen within the zone. MISS MARY CARROLL Miss, Mary Caroll, of Addison St., Shellharbour, who has been alh in mate of Kiama District Hospital for many months, passed away on Sun day last at the, age of SO years. She was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Carroll and is survived by a brother, Mr. TIiatthew Carroll, of Albion Park, to whom sympathy is extended in his bereave mnent.. This letter from the assistant gen eral manager of the Disposals Com mission, following inquiries by the jR.S.L:, should clear up the position ior them: "Auctioneers are instructed that. wherever" possible, the highest bid der mnilst be. given the right to take one, two or more of. the items, any balance remaining to be offered again in one lot and sold :to the highest bidder."
