The present season has not been dirked by any very large transactions at auction ; and as so much wool has already gone fcrwara to London on station account, it is probable that most of the large parcels yetremainingin tbe colony will be similarly dealt with, without being submitted for publio competition. Thursdav In stock little has been done during ihe past fortnight, but we have heard of one or two transactions in which small mtsedldts, medram quplity, have changed hands at from £6 to £7 10s pa| head. Baally prime \-eef tf Very scarce, and if the local market could be supplied in small quantise* a fair business might be done. In Store Stock there seem* to be a better demand, but we are afraid the trout of rain will prevent much being done in this description of stock. Fat Sheep are rather scarce, and may be quoted at'ftom 68 to^sBa. In Store Sheep there is nothing doing, though we hear of two or three lots under offer at very low rates. Horses of good iroafcty will always bring a Tair price, from £6 to &.0 ; 6ut inferior stock.is unsaleable.
