Air Corps Heeds College Senate Passes _"£****'No Finals' Resolution The Army Air Coi-ps has issued a call for all college students with weather (bureau training to begin work at the Gulf Coast Air Corps Training Center immediately. Four groups-of civilian meteorologists, graded as full instructors, or associates, assistants or- juniors are being sought for this weather work. The positions carry a civil service rating and salaries run from $2,000 to $3,800 annually. Heading the qualifications list is the request for students who have had • at least' a" year of weather bureau work plus a six hour semester college course on the subject, with a college degree unnecessary. Applications will be accepted also from students having college credit in differential and integral calculus and advanced physics. • For this latter group, a ten week training school will provide the substitute for the practical experience. Physical Fitness Group To Make Plans Tomorrow An organization meeting of students and faculty members interested in physical fitness classes will be held in the west gallery of Rec Hall at 2:30 p. m. tomorrow to discuss plans for an "all-out" college program it was announced by _Charlfes M. Speidel, committee chairman. Emphasizing the vital need for the physical fitness of Penn State student and faculty member alike in this -time of war emergency, Speidel stressed the importance of both students and faculty members attending this meeting if possible. ¦ It will be decided what is the most favorable time to hold exercise classes and arrangements will be made for medical exams and free locker and towel facilities. Defense Council All-College Elections Set Hears Reports For March 25, 26, 27 The College Defense Council made plans lo meet every other Wednesday and heard reports from committee heads at the group's meeting last night. The setting of regular dates was made at the request of Dr. A. C. Marts, executive director of the State Defense Council. Reporting on the work of the Committee-on Contacts with Faculty, Students, and Alumni in the Armed Services, Chairman Edward K. ' Hibshman ~ said that a list, by camps, has been prepared of 450 'Penn State draftees and enlistees.
