The Citizen. SATURDAY. - - Jll-W-l.Hr 15, 1870. K Local MIiilutT Affair. S. L. NaMi, of Niman & Nash of Stoncmnn, Pinal county, came into town early in the week. He informs us that their new reduction works run fully equal to expectations, but he saj-s thej- must and will at once add a furnace, roasting being found necessary 1 the base metals. Mr. Nash is ycrr much encouraged, not only with iiio rmlnHinn works, but with the prospects for abundance of rich ore from Pinal district. He also informs us that returns had just been received from San Francisco of the sale of eight mid one-half tons of Silver King ore, for the large price in gold of 11.525 nnd some odd cents the exact number of which he did not remember. Any one can apply the figures as to the rate per ton. The news from the Globe district h good and the developments are con firmatory of the great and permanent value of the several, ledges. A ven remarkable bonanza was picked up on or near one of the ledges in this dis trict, a short time since. Mr. Munson, very recently discovered lying on the surface of the ground and seeming ly separate from a ledge, a solid mass of metallic silver ore weighing 2200 pounds. It was found on or near claims already laid off in the vicinity but Mr. 31. secured the prize and had it packed in sacks on animals to Florence, where a careful and low estimate of the value of this rind places it at $20,000. It is almost a solid mass of pure silver. Such a discovery as this before the latter great Comstock developments, would have electrified this western ininiur world. But the magnitude of ore discoveries on the Paciilc coast in these days has taken off the keen edge of mining ex...
