Word was receiv ed to this effect in a special telegram, from President Morrison, of Fair mount College, who is in Hartford, Conn., looking after the interests of the college at that place. : Killed by Horses. Irving Mc Clung, 46 years old, was killed at Winfield while driving home with a load of lumber. Near the Santa Fe depot his team became frightened and McClung, in striving to quiet them fell over the dash board, and the horses kicked him to death. He was married and was wealthy. Withdrawn His Name. The candi date of the Good Government league for mayor at Salina announced his withdrawal. The Good Government league is an organization for the purpose of enforcing the prohibitory laws and 1,000 voters had pledged themselves to support the ticket.
