LOCAL TOPICS. I Application for final letters of admin istration on the (9000 estate of Alex. Strachan will be heard by Judge H. L. Kenaan at Spokane March 30. The in debtedness is approximately $4000. Oliver M. Lee is the heaviest creditor and a petitioner for the administrator ship. Strachan died in Spokane Thurs day morning, March 19, 1903, and was the proprietor of the Railroaders Home, a lodging house in that city. He was born in Scotland 57 years ago and left no relatives in this country. His prop erty consists of the saloon building and lot occupied by J. F. Doran, and a piece of land southeast of town. Sheriff Shorno also has a claim against the es tate and accompanied by his attorney C. L. Holcomb was in Spokane Satur day. Thos. J. Smith in his new play "The Game Keeper" will be the attraction at the opera house, March 28. "The Game Keeper" is an Irish drama, but has been constructed on original lines with a touch of real American humor that is at all times refreshing. This...

The gen tleman has purchased a one-third in terest in tKe Washington Hardware Co., one of the leading business institutions of the City of Destiny. Mr. Bier has resided in this city eight years and for five years was the successful and popu lar manager of the Ritzville Hardware Co., and while in that capacity gained many warm friends and an extended and thorough acquaintance. Mrs. Bier (Nee Miss Anna Ebener) lias lived here nearly all her life, and the severing of old associations and bidding friends jgood-by is a severe ordeal for botb.
