TDemorrat & BmtincL V. 1. Mi'RRAY, Ixtttor. . . C. ZAI13I, Publisher. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 1859. OTJE NEIGHBOR. We have only a few words to say in reply to the column and a half of diluted dish water con cerning the Editor of this paper, which appeared in the Moun tainecr last week. We entertain .a very exalted opinion of our neighbor, and are always pleased when he displays hit natural and cultivated graces to the beet advantage. His refined sarcasm cuts like a "two edged glaive," and richly -does lie merit to be recognized as the prince of ttcmddlers. Our neighbor a few week3 ago sneered at us because we dared to say that we despised the course pursued by the renegade Forney. He seemed to think, that it ...

SDauocrat & 0tnttnd. C 1. HIRRAY, Editor. D. V. ZA1I3I, l'ubllsber. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 16. 1859. OUR NEIGHBOR AGAIN. We regret that we are under the necessity of continuing the controversy that has been going on for seme time between the Editor of the Mountains and ourself; We knew there are subjects more vorthv of our consideration, and that oar neighbor' twaddle is unworthy of a moment's attention; however, lest he might feel hurt if we failed to notice his last article, we will endeavor to return a satisfactory answer to his important interrogatory: "Do vou consider a Democrat who opposes nominations fairly made a traitor to his party?" But before proceeding to do so. we may remark that we do not admit that our manhood is at stake, or that our reputa tion depends on the answer we give. We merely answer for the purpose of relieving our neighbor's anxiety of mind on the subject. Our neighbor, doubtless, charges us with being a wriggler because he is one himself. When we occupy...
