Mining Notes. (by our mining- reporter.) THE BROWN HILL NORTH LEASES. This group of leases, held by the Austral.' Venture -Syndicate, a London company, de monstrates how much good work can be done inalittletlmeby well-directed effort. The property comprises seven blocks containing 12-4 acoes, and is situated east of the Hannans Brown Hjll mine. It is north of the Medindic East and Iron Duke claims, some of the first taken up in the district, and is on the same run of country as the Brown Hill Consols, which recently excited so much attention. When the Austral Venture took over tne mines they were the most easterly group pegged in the great ore channel of -Kalgoorlie. Since then the run of the ore bodies has been traced almost a mile further east, ?nd the whole of the country' is being vigorously worked to the full extent of the leased ground.
