Buggy Aooi&eat in Xtovrxa. TWO PERSONS INJURED. As a buggy occupied by Captain White, of the dredge Pluto, and Mrs. Alex. Pollock, nf Nowra, was standing opposite the residence of Mr. A. Patterson in Kinghoru-street on Thursday afternoon last, a bolt in the clip of the shafts dropped out and let tho shafts down at one side ou to the horse's quarter. The animal, which we understand is usually a very quiet one, then took fright and bolted, running on to tho footpath near . the two hotels at the corner of Kinghorn and Junction streets, and dragging the vehicle for some distance. Junction-street, running dangerously by the verandahs iu that quarter and causing alarm to the parents of several children then in the roadway. The affrighted animal came to a stop in Berry-street, where it was secured by Mr. S. Smith. When it bolted Mrs. Pollock and Capt. White were thrown from the buggy. Bony National Show THE VICEREGAL VISIT. ' The tenlh Annual Exhibition of the Berry Ajrioultu-al Society held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday must he noted as the most successful show yet held on the south coast, from evpry standpoint. A credit not only to the -.district but to the whole colony, this ' annual array of products attracted considerable attention from all parts, and many facet) new to coast people, or at any rate to the show audiences, were to he seen on the grounds each day. The large amounts offered as prizes in all classes secured the placing of exhibits more creditable and more numerous eren than those hitherto seen m Berry, but our space will not permit of any special reference to the exhibits. In all some £1200 was distributed, in cluding £180 as national prizes, and some £300 endowment to the society by its liberal patron. The entries num bered 4000. The Governor's Visit. LORD AND LADY JERSEY IN NOWRA. A CORDIAL DECEPTION. Notwithstanding the uncertainty which existed up to almost the eleventh hour, tho reception of Lord and Lady' Jersey in DJowra yesterday was of a satisfactory character, the proceedings being well arranged ana conducted with enthusiasm by the aldermen of the Nowra Council and other citizens. His Excellency and Lady Jersey, with Lord Villiers, accompanied by Mr. John Hay, Mr. Alick Hay, and Mr, P. H. Morton, M.P., catno up to Numba wharf shortly before 10 o'clock in the s.s. Coomonderry, and soon after landing were met by the Mayor and Aldermen Graham, Scotchmer and Patterson, Messrs. R. T. Thorburn, H. L. Whittell, and others, in a four horse drag, which vehicle conveyed the vice-regal party to Nowra, the Sergeant of police providing a good escort.
